"The homework that we were given helped me not only understand the language, but also the culture and where the "roots" of the language comes from." –Ryan "What I've learned from TQE's is that even though you research somet pics that may not appeal to you, it was more interesting than you anticipated." –Dom "The easiest part of Spanish this year was the TQE. As long as you do it on time and don't copy you should do good." –Zak "I have learned how to better manage my time from TQE's. This was because I had to plan ahead and make time at some point during those two weeks to do the assignments, so it helped me to not procrastinate as much." –George "Doing TQE's help me to broaden my horizons and help me to remain open-minded to new possibilities, which is something I greatly respect." –Ariel "My favorite TQE was the one on Selma Hayek, I actually learned a lot about her. She has been through a lot in her life and I never seem to see celebrities in that way." –Jenna "At the beginning of the year, I used to hand TQEs in late because I didn't like them. However, as the year progressed, I learned how to turn TQEs in early to benefit my grade." –Jahmani "But the boring things were the subjects of the TQEs and the starters. Those things should be used as torture devices in Afghanistan." –Evan "The thing I liked least about TQEs was the one where we had to write down notes before we wrote the actual TQE. Even though I didn't like doing that, it helped write a better TQE in the end." -Rachel "The TQE, the classwork, the tests, quizzes and games… all of these happened in Spanish block 1 AC this year. NO matter what you did there was something you could do to get a good grade- participating and volunteering. You can easily get the grade you wanted- you just need spirit." –Brittany "The TQEs were a good way to get students to learn about Spanish related topics. Also, having the students write them in English gives them the opportunity to actually learn and not have to spend the time writing the Spanish." –Rebecca "The TQEs overall were perfect. I hate homework but writing comes easy. So, only having to write a small essay every other week was better than book work regularly." –Billy "TQEs are the only writing homework we had this year. I really liked how that TQEs are the only type of homework." –Shannon "There was also some disadvantages that came along with the TQE process that I didn't like. For instance, the citation we had to take down. I think the citations will prepare me for future essays but I found it an annoynce." -Niki "I really do not like the
larger TQE's but in my case they are beneficial for my grade." –Chris
