CLASSROOM POLICIES | INTEGRITY POLICY | SCHOOL RULES & POLICIES

CLASSROOM RULES/MOTTOS

Be on time. You are expected to arrive to class by the bell.
Electronics away. When you enter class, put all electronic devices on SILENT or OFF and AWAY (in purses, pockets, bookbags). If they are seen, they will be confiscated and turned in to administration, as per the student behavior policy found in the agenda book..
Respect the teacher. Listen to directions and lessons. Be kind and courteous to teacher and classmates.
Respect the school. Clean up after yourself, including food, wrappers, crumbs, bottles, cans as well as any scraps of paper from projects in class. Keep desks clean and put away materials.
Minds ready. Get your binder out and do the starter. Have a pen out and be attentive in class. Complete all classwork and ask/answer questions.

Electronics:
All electronics being used during class will be taken and turned in to the appropriate administrator as per the school policy found in the agenda book.

Class Cuts:
If you are in school, you are expected in class. If you do not report, it is a cut and will be referred.

Food:
I allow food in class but you will not leave class to get it. If you bring a snack and clean up after yourself that is okay. There is a pail for cans and bottles. If I am cleaning up after your class, no one will be allowed to have food.

Lateness:
Late arrivals to class without a pass will be monitored. Every two lates will receive a detention with me. Chronic lateness will result in a referral.

Behavior:
While in class, you are expected to behave in accordance with school rules and policy. Everyone is entitled to learn without interruption or distraction. You will respect and honor this right.

Bathroom/Hall Passes:
You must ask and get your agenda book signed by Miss Clegg. One student out at a time.

BEHAVIOR & INTEGRITY POLICIES

RESPECT/BEHAVIOR

Bullying (i.e.: name-calling, teasing, threatening, gossiping) of others diminishes my self-worth and that of others. It also diminishes and destroys the integrity and purpose of the classroom and my education. It violates basic human rights as it promotes discrimination and the oppression of others. I will respect myself and others around me as I expect they will respect me. I will honor and strive to uphold my own integrity and that of my education. Furthermore, I will respect all in the environment in which it takes place.

In accordance with district belief that bullying can be "verbal in nature (i.e., name-calling, teasing, threatening, gossiping, etc.)" and the belief that bullying takes power away from a person, the previous statement is part of our class belief. You are aware of school disciplinary policies and will be held accountable for your class behavior.

ABSENTEE OR ATTENDENCE POLICY

You are expected to arrive on time and be in class. If you are absent for a class due to lesson, illness or field trip- it is your responsibility to make up all the work done during class. If you miss one class then you will have eight school days to get caught up. After that, you will receive a zero for assignments and quizzes not made up. Any cuts will result in referral and work may or may not be available for make up, at my discretion.
