RESPECT/BEHAVIOR Bullying (i.e.: name-calling, teasing, threatening, gossiping) of others diminishes my self-worth and that of others. It also diminishes and destroys the integrity and purpose of the classroom and my education. It violates basic human rights as it promotes discrimination and the oppression of others. I will respect myself and others around me as I expect they will respect me. I will honor and strive to uphold my own integrity and that of my education. Furthermore, I will respect all in the environment in which it takes place. In accordance with district belief that bullying can be "verbal in nature (i.e., name-calling, teasing, threatening, gossiping, etc.)" and the belief that bullying takes power away from a person, the previous statement is part of our class belief. You are aware of school disciplinary policies and will be held accountable for your class behavior. ABSENTEE OR ATTENDENCE POLICY You are expected to arrive on time and be in class. If you are absent for a class due to lesson, illness or field trip- it is your responsibility to make up all the work done during class. If you miss one class then you will have eight school days to get caught up. After that, you will receive a zero for assignments and quizzes not made up. Any cuts will result in referral and work may or may not be available for make up, at my discretion. FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT INTEGRITY POLICY GUILDLINES Definition of Cheating
