Hello parents and guardians! I'm Miss Clegg, your student's Spanish teacher. I'd like to say welcome and ask that you read over your student's syllabus so you're aware of a couple important policies of the year. Also please use my website http://www.srtaclegg.com as a resource for you and your student!
A. ELECTRONICS
All electronics (including but not limited to cell phones, Ipods, mp3 players, CD players, PSPs, graphics calculators) are prohibited to be out or in use during classtime. If I find your student using these during any part of my class, they will be confiscated and given to your students administrator as per the behavior policy in the agenda book and on the district's website.
B. RESPECT/BEHAVIOR
In accordance with district belief that bullying can be "verbal in nature (i.e., name-calling, teasing, threatening, gossiping, etc.)" and the belief that bullying takes power away from a person, the previous statement is part of our class belief. Your student is aware of school disciplinary policies and will be held accountable for their behavior.
C. LATENESS
Every 2 late arrivals without a pass, he/she will receive a detention with me. It is important that your student arrive on time so he/she doesn't miss an important announcement. Chronic lateness will receive a referral.
D. ATTENDENCE
Your student is expected to arrive on time and be in class. If your student is absent for a class due to lesson, illness or field trip- it is his/her responsibility to make up all the work done during class. If your student misses one class then he/she will have eight school days to get caught up. After that, they will receive a zero for assignments and quizzes not made up. Any cuts will result in referral and work may or may not be available for make up, at my discretion.
E. FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT INTEGRITY POLICY GUILDLINES
The following is the foreign language integrity policy. Please read it over carefully with your student. Your student has heard the policy explained as well.

By signing this, I am indicating that I understand the integrity policy and have discussed it with my student.
